1/3/2024 0 Comments Capital coinbar city![]() Last year in Padua, the Bar Gancino in Piazza Duomo installed a special machine that converts euro into bitcoin: 0,0020 bitcoin for every 10 euro, which are added directly to one’s personal virtual portfolio (an account is mandatory). While the Bitcoin is unique, other initiatives featuring cryptocurrencies are beginning to spread: for anyone who wants to trade their paper money for virtual money, the website Coin Arm Radar ( ) offers a map of all the ATM machines that currently accept bitcoin in Italy. That is not all: the bar will also feature an exchange service, meaning that customers can trade across a basket of cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin as well as Ethereum and Ripple – and received assistance from the platform. The Bitcoin Café will be much more than a bar: it has been conceived as a “meeting point” for cryptocurrency fans, or for anyone wanting to understand the opportunities offered by the use of digital currencies, or simply for the curious. The initiative is the brainchild of Coinbar, the Italian platform for trading cryptocurrencies founded by Antonello Cugusi, and Josas, the real-estate brokerage that selected the location: Via Barberini, in the heart of the capital city. The first Bitcoin Café in Europe will be inaugurated in March. Starbucks is also preparing for the adventure Regardless, this bar was the first of our trip that highlighted Japan’s exquisite bartenders and bar scene. In Padua and Modena the first experiences. Some of the guests did become a bit rowdy, but nothing too bad. Most guests were well-behaved and the bartender was genuinely curious about other cultures or what tourists saw and ate that day. This bar does cater almost exclusively to foreigners meaning the staff speak English very well and are very accommodating. We did not even take photos at the bar in order to fully experience the moment. If your main reason for visiting Japan is to make unforgettable cherished memories, you must make time for this. Our last time, our bartender had a shot of Fernet Branca with us to thank us for our patronage and gave me his business card which I still have today. We made time in our full schedule to go back to the bar two times or three times. My bartender was extremely attentive to all the guests and is probably the best cocktail “shaker” I’ve seen. All were different and offered a new experience. ![]() I was able to try 6-8 creations, some being classic or obscure cocktails with liquor more to my taste. The first draw to this bar is the promise of custom cocktails, and it delivers. The lights are low, with most seats at the long bar with a few tables and chairs along the back. The bar is beautifully designed and has a distinct gothic aesthetic. When I first went with my wife, we couldn’t find the door until we had more time to reflect ?. The entrance to this speakeasy is unmarked except for a symbol in the elevator. I’ve been fascinated with the speakeasy concept for some time and have visited quite a few in New York and Long Island. ![]() If I had one reason to return to Osaka, it would be to have drinks here. I came here in January of 2019 and have thought about my experience at least every other day. I cannot begin to describe how amazing this bar is. Reviewed By omajumder - New York, United States
